Care Ministry
Bethel's Care Ministry
Bethel’s Care Ministry is devoted to serving members in the church and surrounding community who are hurting, or experiencing changes and challenges due to illness, grief, loss, mental health issues, childbirth and for so many other reasons that we may not be able to name.
Provide prayer, encouragement, prepare and/or deliver meals, flowers / gifts for members recovering from surgery, illness or those who have had a new baby. Team members will make initial and follow up phone calls to assess needs.
Provide financial, emotional, spiritual, and other assistance to members of the church who are grieving due to a loss in the family. If needed, team may also assist in the serving of food at receptions following funeral or memorial services held at Bethel. This team will also provide flowers to the bereaved on behalf of the church.
The team is responsible for visiting nursing homes, including the now established regular ministry at Lynnwood, especially during the Christmas season. At the home, members will engage the residents with singing and bringing holiday cheers
